    Hello Mike
I bought my son a 2010 Subaru legacy. He has barely had it a year and the car heats up. The radiator splashes fluid all over the inside of the hood. We took it to a mechanic and repaid almost $600 to get a new radiator. Unfortunately, it didn’t solve the problem. We are now being told that the head gasket are probably blown. My husband is saying it’s probably the thermostat.
    Will you please help?
    Thank You!

      Hello,
Before spending the time and money on replacing the thermostat, please have the cooling system checked for hydrocarbons by someone with an exhaust gas analyzer. If you replace the thermostat and the head gaskets have failed, you’re just wasting money. It is possible that the thermostat can cause the same condition but make sure you confirm there are no hc’s before replacing it.

      Good luck,

      Mike Corbin

I have a 2003 Forester XS with climate control. I am having issues getting the system to blow out the front vents. It seems to be stuck…tons of air is moving out the defrost vents and very little out the front vents as well as out the floor vents. I have disassembled the dash somewhat but can’t figure out what isn’t working correctly. The fresh air cabin filter is fine and no debris seems to have been ingested. So I am suspecting that a servo motor needs to be replaced. Any ideas? I can’t seem to find an online source to track this down. I own a Haynes manual that is just about worthless. Can you help? If it is a servo motor, do you carry the part?

      Hi Scott,
If something isn’t mechanically stuck, it may be in failsafe mode. If the control system ever has an issue it defaults to defrost as a failsafe for safety. There are step by step diagnostic procedures you can go through. I would suggest signing up for a one year subscription to alldatadiy.com. You can purchase an inexpensive 1 year subscription to all the diagnostic and repair info for your specific vehicles. They pull all of their info directly from the Subaru factory manuals.

      I hope this helps.

      Take care,

I ordered a timing belt kit for my wrx from you and received it in only two days, and the parts were the high quality parts you promised. I even got a smiley face ?on my invoice. I will definitely order from you again as I have another wrx that also needs a kit. I just wished you offered a water pump with the kit. I had to order a pump from another company and it took over a week to get it and it turns out it was made in China (not what I wanted?). Seems other company’s hide behind gray language describing their products as quality parts but send you sub standard parts. Your company promises quality parts and that’s exactly what you get, quality parts. Thank you and keep up the good work.
