Context: As a jdm car enthusiast, I'm usually aware of the issues/upcoming issues/maintenance schedules with all of my cars. For those who say "why don't you do your own work?". Nosy HOA and salaried adults with families don't have the time.Smart service definitely passed the test. Wasn't billed or fear mongered into any additional unnecessary services. Customer service and communication was great. Also, oem parts and oil. So far, so good.

Had a problem with my splash guard dragging and I popped by after work and they were able to get me patched up and out the door in less than 30 mins with no appointment. They’re my new stop it town for ANY repairs or service I need. 10/10

Jess is a life saver!!They are very professional, and the service is top quality here. They did a great job diagnosing the problem. They were very communicative and knowledgeable.Having driven my car, I noticed an increase in this certain noise. I assumed it was the wheel bearing, but I also noticed missing weights on a tire, so I thought it was a tire balance issue. They were able to diagnose and pinpoint that it was a wheel bearing issue.Once I drove it out after having it replaced, I noticed an immediate difference in ride quality. I highly recommend them if you have a Subaru.

The great techs at Smart Service recently did some major repair and tune-up work on my 2004 Suburu Forester that was much needed; and (as usual) they got my car running very smooth and quiet again--feels rock solid again while driving it. These folks have maintained my Subie ever since I bought it, which in itself is a testament to their craftsmanship and care for these 20-some years. It's still 100% functional and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross-country at a moments notice. We are regulars at Smart Service because of their friendly and attentive staff as well as their reliable and timely service. Our actual bill can sometimes be much less than the estimate. I waited and the wait was right at an hour. I got the vehicle inspection report electronically with some suggestions which I scheduled. I also got the invoice electronically and paid. I was very impressed with both documents. The oil change is just a car thing. A lady came in while I was waiting and fretting about her car and cost. I joked that it’s better than horse and buggy because the clean upIs ugly. She laughed.

I had been to a dealer for some pretty big expensive repairs and had refused the dealer's repair of air conditioning. I read reviews of Smart Service in Shoreline after I had stopped at another business there after church and saw this place. I went in and let them read paperwork of dealer then made appt for air conditioning. They booked as soon as they could and it is now working. They put a dye in to watch for next few months to detect if there is a leak and will see about any future repair. They were honest and listened to me as an older woman and I appreciate that. I was also pleased to see if they do extensive repairs they provide loaner cars if needed.

My son recommended Smart Service after a very positive experience he had, so after my air conditioner for my Subaru went out and an extremely high quote from the dealership, I called Smart Service, got a detailed quote where investigation first, then what actually should be replaced—so numbers for various scenarios. Same day service and I am pleasantly cool now in my car! And the total was way lower! Kind, thorough explanation of service, friendly and helpful staff. I easily recommend Smart Service after.

I have a Honda that needed a alternator replacement. They sent a quick response with a detailed estimate. Of course they made their own assessment, which is a full car assessment, free to first timer. Their communication is great. They were able to get me in and done within the week. Besides the alternator, ended up replacing the belt and battery. This was still still under the cost of having just the alternator at the dealership.

This is one of those rare businesses that keeps improving every time I trust them with my 2016 Honda. They specialize in just a few Japanese automakers so that they can stock the right parts and have the mechanics with specialized training. Communication is great, both in person and, with service reminders before your appointment, This summer, when I noticed that it took longer for my air conditioning to come to a comfortable temperature, they were honest and just had to refresh the freone (sp) and not do a full expensive replacement of the unit. And it is nice to see Jess at the front counter being her pleasant, effecient self.

I was hospitalized and unable to drive at all for 7 months and Rehab has taken a very long tome. I reached the point where I can now safely drive. I hadn't had servicing since late 2024.I am now driving and took it in last week. Service was done eith no major issues found. I waited for it at the shop. Knowledgeable and honest

I have used Smart Service for nearly 15 years and have never doubted their expertise. They alert me to issues, but are upfront about what can be monitored and what needs attention immediately. My 2010 Forester is still kicking thanks to them and I trust their recommendations and the work they perform.

All of the staff was super friendly and hospitable and kept me updated on my car! I’ve been putting off getting my car checked on, regrettably, because I’ve been nervous to trust a place with my car because of past experiences with other places but Smart Service eased my mind of all my worries! Megan was the person I was in contact with and she was amazing! They send you a very descriptive, logical diagnosis and recommended work to do after checking your car and you can approve or deny work to be done right through that sheet which I found very helpful. I feel like most places don’t do this and they assume you’ll remember all the things they verbally list over the phone. I highly recommend Smart Service! I will be definitely going back the next time I need work on my car!

Very clean, professional shop. I enjoyed talking with Owen and Tom and the service was excellent. Came in for a transmission fluid change and I felt comfortable with their assessment that the brake fluid change was needed as well. I'll definitely be back for all the other services I need for our CRV in the future. Very happy I found such a great shop near me and won't have to go to a dealership now for over-priced services.
